THE MODEL

THE MODEL - Chapter 1: Marcello in Limbo from WHAT MATTERS MOST on Vimeo.

Now-Again Records and What Matters Most present a short film duo entiled “The Model,” inspired by the recently released Seu Jorge and Almaz album by Brazilian singer and actor Seu Jorge.

Seu Jorge is most noted for his role as Knockout Ned in the famed film"City of God" and also starred in Wes Anderson's cult classic "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou"

The first part "Chapter 1: Marcello in Limbo" is a one-take affair that follows Jorge as he weaves through a cliff-side mansion in the Hollywood Hills. The film showcases three cover songs from the album (Roy Ayers’ “Everybody Loves The Sunshine,” Martinho da Vila and João de Aquino's “Cirandar” and Kraftwerk’s “The Model”) and features the members of his band Almaz, as well as the producer Mario C and keyboardist Money Mark.

Director: Khalil Joseph
Starring: Seu Jorge
Photography: Bradford Young and Matthew J. Lloyd
Producer: Omid Fatemi and Daniel Song
Styling: Earl and Davia Hunter for Style By Davia
Music: Seu Jorge and Almaz
Additional production support by Jon David Lloyd

A visual music clip for Michael Fakesch.

Created for my diploma thesis at the university of applied sciences augsburg 2010.

Significant to the layout and structure of a VJ performance, CONTINUUM is a video project
that combines the idea that the live performance and the music video viewing experiences can
be translucent of one another. In order to make this process work, a looping system was created
consisting of two steps. The first step is producing a series of short experimental video clips derived
of animated objects, geometric shapes and organic forms, and the second step is finding a similar
context between these abstract videos and looping them together. This looping system created
a final piece whose outcome can be used for two parts; a static clip based on the characteristics
of a conventional music video or a visual for a live VJ performance.

Ninja Tune book and exhibition

this exhibition is only on for a month and it's well worth a visit. it's near KingsX on 10A Acton street WC1X9NG.
I went last night and there a few of Nancy's photographs used on album covers and if you search really hard you can spot a very small sparky sticker in the book.
the book is celebrating 20 years of ninja tune and its associated design and the exhibition is curated by our friend DJ Food. who also did alot of the design work.
it's quite a small space so if you have a spare 10mins, get down there

The Naked and Famous — Young Blood

our motion designer yvette is in this - hafway thru and at the end trying to eat a sparkler. this clip is very hipster which i normally dont like but i think this has a great energy for the song. the production company briefed out to lots of creative filmmakers and asked them to shoot their friends doing hipster stuff and they edited it together to make this. good idea!
